Boksi creators code of conduct

At Boksi we aim to set certain standards and empower our creators to face the challenges they meet by providing creators with the best possible practises in order to succeed.

The code of conduct for creators is essential to maintain professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards within the Boksi platform. With this we ensure that the creators working through Boksi have an united understanding of the guiding principles and rules. This applies to all creators signed up to Boksi, including influencers and content creators, both referred to mutually as creators.

The code of conduct explains how creators conduct business in a responsible and ethical manner on the Boksi platform. It is also designed to help creators make the right decisions in their working environment when using the Boksi platform, guided by our values:

Code of conduct

1. Ethical content creation in a respectful manner

Creators should produce content that is ethical and responsible, promoting positive messages and avoiding harmful topics. Content should not contain hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or offensive language. Content creators should foster an inclusive and respectful environment and the communication on the Boksi platform should be professional and respectful towards all parties involved.

2. Transparent and truthful information sharing

  1. Authenticity and transparency
    Creators are required to disclose sponsored content, promotions, and partnerships clearly and prominently according to legal guidelines determined in each country or on the Boksi platform. Transparency builds trust with audiences and helps to maintain creators credibility.
  2. Accuracy and truthfulness
    Creators should provide accurate and truthful information in their collaboration content or in case of uncertainty, ensure the information straight from the brand. Misleading or false claims can damage both the creator's reputation and the brand or Boksi’s credibility. 

3. Protection of minors and informed consent

Creators must have consent from parents or legal guardians before featuring minors in their content. Additionally, creators should be aware about the potential risks associated with involving minors in content creation, including privacy concerns, online safety, and psychological well-being. Creators should take appropriate measures to safeguard minors and ensure their well-being at all times.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  1. Compliance with laws and regulations
    Creators should comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including advertising standards, data protection laws, and industry-specific regulations. In addition if the creator is under prosecution or has received a verdict that may cause damage to the reputation of the brand purchasing the services, the creators must mention this to the brand before the acceptance of a campaign or project. Thus in general the creator is expected to maintain a good reputation.
  2. Respect for intellectual property
    Creators should respect copyright laws, intellectual property rights and third-party rights. One should only use content, including images, videos, and music, that they have the rights to use or have obtained proper permissions for.
  3. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
    Creators should honestly disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence one’s content, such as financial interests, personal relationships, or affiliations with brands in case it is needed or required in a campaign or by law.
  4. Confidential information
    Creators should maintain confidentiality and uphold trust in their collaborations. If Boksi or a brand shares confidential information as part of the collaboration, creators are obligated to handle this information with utmost care and not disclose it to third parties without explicit consent.

Monitoring and reporting

Creator is aware that Boksi has procedures for monitoring compliance with the code of conduct and platform terms to enforce consequences for violations. In case where the terms or code of conduct is broken, Boksi or the brand has the right to discontinue the collaboration or remove the creator from the platform.

In case the creator detects violation of the creator code of conduct or is uncertain about anything related to these points mentioned above, we have established channels for feedback and reporting, allowing users to raise concerns or report violations of the code of conduct. In case the matter is related straight to the brand being advertised or content produced, creators should be in direct contact in the campaign chat. Especially in cases of Compliance with laws and regulations and Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest.

How do we at Boksi commit to support creators?

In order for creators to do their work the best and get the support they need, Boksi commits to support creators to understand and adhere to the code of conduct effectively. How do we make sure that brands also respect the same guidelines we expect from the creators on the platform?

We are committed to ensuring that our creators have a safe and ethical working environment to work on. As we expect our creators to work according to the code of conduct, we also hold ourselves and our partner brands to commit to the set standards. Our terms and guidelines for both brands and creators are designed not only to protect our customers but also to ensure that creators can engage in partnerships and collaborations that are respectful, transparent, and compliant with legal and ethical standards. Therefore brands agree on terms where also creators' rights on the platform are taken into account. This way we strive to foster a community where all parties involved can thrive and create meaningful content while upholding integrity and professionalism.
