When Sara Pulkamo joined Boksi in August 2023, she knew she was stepping into a dynamic environment where international expansion and technological advancements in influencer marketing go hand in hand. In just over a year, her role has grown significantly – and the journey is far from over, with plenty of new opportunities ahead.
But what first attracted her to Boksi?
"I got to know a Boksi employee through mutual connections, and they spoke very highly of the company. The international aspect, the startup environment, and the use of technology in influencer marketing were all major draws – and I’m still really happy that I decided to join!"

Fast-paced growth and teamwork
Even though the work is fast-paced and intense, that’s exactly what keeps it exciting for Sara.
"I create my own schedule, which gives me a lot of freedom to optimize how I work. The days are fast-moving, but they’re also filled with new learning opportunities. In sales, every customer and every day is different – and that keeps things interesting!"
Sara’s team consists of around 20 people, most of whom work in sales. However, close collaboration with other teams, such as Customer Success, Marketing, and Product, is essential. The diversity of skills and teamwork are among Sara’s favorite aspects of her job.
"Each of us has our own strengths and different backgrounds, which always brings fresh perspectives to every project. That’s what makes us so strong together!"

"Moving to international markets and working with larger clients have definitely been among my most significant achievements. I’ve been able to challenge myself and develop my skills at a whole new level."
"Balancing speed with wellness" – A work-life balance that matters
At Boksi, both high performance and well-being are valued – something that is reflected in Sara’s own approach to work.
"I’ve always been an 'all-in' type of person, and I’m really passionate about what I do, but I’ve also learned how important it is to take care of my well-being. That’s why Boksi’s value, 'Balancing Speed with Wellness,' really resonates with me. When I’m off work or on vacation, I delete work-related apps to truly focus on other important things in life."
In January, Sara fulfilled her long-time dream of living abroad and is currently working remotely under the Spanish sun. This is a great example of how Boksi values flexibility and is committed to supporting the well-being of its employees both at work and outside of it.
Unforgettable memories and a strong team culture
When we asked Sara about her favorite memory at Boksi, it was hard for her to pick just one – there have already been so many great moments!
"It’s difficult to choose just one! But the first thing that comes to mind is our 2024 offsite trip to Sitges, Spain. We got to take a break from our busy schedules and spend quality time together – enjoying the Spanish sun, great food, and fun activities. After the trip, it felt like our team had become even more connected, and everyone returned to work full of fresh energy."
At Boksi, we organize an annual offsite trip, giving our team the opportunity to strengthen relationships, brainstorm new ideas, and enjoy time together outside the usual work routine.
