How much should you charge as an influencer or creator?
It’s a difficult question to answer, as everyone values their own work differently, as do brands. You need to consider the time it takes to create your content, how you interact or engage with your audience, whether or not your audience aligns with the brand in question…
Our mission at Boksi has always been to be the bridge leading to positive, powerful, and profitable interactions between creators and brands. And when we say profitable, we mean both ways. Creative work is real work that deserves compensation. And that starts with us, offering fair and honest pricing to the amazing creators who work with us.
We haven’t been correct when it comes to pricing creative work in the past. But with our vision to become a transparent, easy, fair place for influencers and brands to collaborate, we would like to share what Boksi is doing on this topic.
We are committed to ensuring fair pricing for the smallest to the biggest influencers and creators. You deserve fair compensation for your work, no matter if you're just starting out or a pro.
So, here's a list of how we'll go about it.
How we will ensure fair pricing for creators
We will offer more education to creators to help you set their own competitive price, like:
- What are the factors that affect your price
- How to find your CPE/CPM, and what are the industry benchmarks
- How to price for different platforms
- How to evaluate the value of your follower base, engagement, and use of your content
- How to price for long-term partnerships

We will enforce price minimums and improve price transparency. Within our platform, we will set a minimum price limit so creators do not go underpaid, and we will offer more transparency so creators can price themselves more accurately. For example, we will let you set different prices for Instagram posts and Stories.

We will provide a data-based calculator to help new creators with pricing. We removed our algorithm and recommended pricing after your feedback. We will add a data-based calculator to our platform as a support for those who need help determining their price. However, we stress that the price it suggests will not be enforced, and will be visible to you only. It will simply provide a starting point based on a wide variety of data points, in order to give you a more accurate recommendation.
We will offer more options for explaining reasons for rejection in influencer campaigns. Getting rejected for a campaign is never fun, but it's worse when you don't know why. So, we're improving our rejection options, so brands have the chance to provide more reasons as to why they didn't choose you this time around.

We will offer more options for providing feedback during campaigns. In line with helping creators hone their craft, we will add more feedback options during campaigns so brands have the opportunity to give more relevant feedback throughout the process.
